Pacific Invitational: San Diego Toreros win their first title of the season

The San Diego Toreros men's golf team claimed their first victory of the season in style, winning the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational with an impressive 32-under-par total of 820, thanks to consistent rounds of 272-275-273. The Toreros’ performance secured a four-shot margin of victory at Stockton Country Club, marking their third consecutive top-five finish.
Leading the charge were graduate transfer Jaden Cantafio and sophomore You Seong Choi, both delivering standout performances. Cantafio and Choi posted identical scores of 66-69-67 to tie for second place at 11-under 202.
Host team Pacific University finished second at 28-under, while defending champions Grand Canyon settled for fourth at 18-under.
In the individual competition, Pacific's Travis Robbie clinched his first collegiate win, firing a brilliant 13-under 200 with rounds of 66-68-66. Robbie's victory also marked a historic moment for the Tigers, as he became the first Pacific golfer to win an individual title since Casey Scott's 2018 triumph at Grand Canyon.
San Diego dominated the statistics, leading the field in par-3 and par-4 scoring with averages of 3.00 and 3.96, respectively, while also recording the most birdies with a total of 68.
