USC Freshman Jaden Dumdumaya wins Fairfield City Championship

Jaden Dumdumaya from Fairfield, Calif., delivered a commanding performance to secure a six-stroke victory at the Fairfield City Championship, finishing with a 7-under 137.
Dumdumaya posted rounds of 70 and a tournament-best 5-under 67 to claim the title. Scott Bubany from Rocklin, Calif., who led after the first round with a 4-under 68, shot a final-round 75 to finish as the runner-up at 1-under par.
A two-time CIF North Section and CIF State Champion, Dumdumaya was also a 2023 Athlete of the Year nominee at De La Salle High School. He led his varsity team to victories at the East Bay Athletic League Championships, Champions Invitational, CIF NorCal Section, and both the 2022 and 2023 CIF State Championships. Additionally, he guided his team to a third-place finish at the PGA High School Championship.
Dumdumaya holds the record for most wins on the Junior Tour of California, surpassing notable names such as two-time U.S. Open champion and current LIV golfer Bryson DeChambeau, as well as former Trojan Justin Suh.
The championship flight featured 51 amateur participants.
In the Seniors Flight, Anthony Vaccaro from Fairfax and Bobby Pereiera from Vallejo both finished at even-par 144, with Vaccaro ultimately securing the title in a playoff after rounds of 70-74, while Pereiera posted consistent rounds of 72-72.
