Branden Boyce from UNC-Greensboro is 7-under and holds a one-shot lead in the suspended second round of the 67th Eastern Amateur at Elizabeth Manor Country Club in Portsmouth, Va.

Boyce was in the second group off, so he finished most of his second round, getting through 15 holes before the weather took over and the round was delayed.

Boyce stands 3-under on his 2nd round and 7-under for the tournament.

First-round leader Oakley Gee from Kentucky and Robb Kinder, a recent Christopher Newport graduate, are T3 at 5-under midway through their second round.

Three players on the course are tied at 4-under, including Chesapeake golfer Trey Marrion, TCU commit Charlie Wylie, and Andres Barraza from Bucknell.

Play will resume at 8 a.m. ET. The low 60 and ties will begin the third round on Friday afternoon with the anticipation of getting back on schedule for the Saturday final round.
