Calder Overfelt dominated the field to win the Bayonet Black Horse Amateur Championship at Bayonet Black Horse, the Bayonet course, in Seaside, Calif.

Overfelt, a rising senior at Santa Clara from Newport Beach, carded rounds of 71-65-66 to get to 14-under and run away from the field, winning by six shots.

Overfelt also set a tournament record en route to securing the win.

He recorded 16 birdies, two eagles, four bogeys, and one double bogey.

Ben Ragland and Mitchell Hoey finished T2 at 8-under, and Jack Cantlay finished in solo fourth place at 6-under. Cantlay is the youngest brother of PGA Tour member Patrick Cantlay.

Bayonet and Black Horse continue to be among the best golf courses on the Monterey Peninsula. Both courses are steeped in rich tradition and have hosted PGA Tour greats such as Palmer, Nicklaus, and Watson, as well as several U.S. Presidents and foreign dignitaries.

The courses currently play host to the Nationwide Tour Monterey Peninsula Classic and Stage I and II of the PGA Tour Qualifying School, as well as the amateurgolf.com Monterey Bay Championship in May.
