Mark C. Miller shot 1-under to win the 2024 Pasadena City Senior Championship at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, Calif. Miller was the lone golfer to finish under par, carding rounds of 71-71-69 to finish 1-under and two shots better than Dick Engel, who finished in solo second place at 1-over.
Miller played Course No. 1 in the first round and Course No. 2 in the second round.
Miller stood on the No. 15 tee three shots back of Engel but birdies on holes No. 14 and 16 and bogeys from Engel on holes No. 15, 17, and 18 saw the three-shot deficit for Miller turn into a two-shot win.
Miller finished in solo second place at the 2024 SCGA Senior Amateur and is currently ranked No. 296 in the AmateurGolf.com Senior Rankings.
Richard Shlemmer finished in solo third place at 4-over, and Leonard Komar finished in solo fourth place at 5-over. David Ujihara and James Cortes finished T5 at 6-over to round out the top five.
In its prime location, Brookside Country Club sits on the Brookside Golf Course next to the world-famous Rose Bowl. Brookside Golf Course features two 18-hole championship courses, the C.W. Koiner Course and the E.O. Nay Course.
Both courses are used for the historic Pasadena City Amateur, one of Southern California's premier City Championships.
