Wild Turkey Golf Course
The North Atlantic Amateur is excited to announce its return for a second year, this time at the Crystal Springs Resort, N.J., from July 1 to July 3, 2024. The tournament is hosted by Wild Turkey Golf Course, part of the Crystal Springs Resort.
The North Atlantic Amateur is an elite amateur golf tournament hosting players from the United States and abroad, open to Men and Women. It is held annually, during the summer, in the North East of the United States. It is a counting event for the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). The field will mostly consist of Collegiate golfers.
The first edition was played at the Architects Golf Club in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. The winner on the men's side was Melan Dhaubhadel, from England. He plays for ULM—University of Louisiana Monroe and is currently ranked No. 575 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings. He finished at 9-under with three rounds of 3-under 68 to secure the four-shot win.
Dhaubhadel also won the Metropolitan Stroke Play Championship last year.
On the Women's side, the 2023 champion was Michelle Liu from Canada. Michelle is currently ranked No. 546 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings and is a member of the Golf Canada Squad.
This event is created by the Founders of the Orlando International Amateur, the Sunshine State Amateur and the Next Tee Invitational (all of which are elite amateur tournaments hosted in Florida and welcoming some of the best amateur golfers from the US and abroad).
Debuting in 2023, this 54-hole stroke play event for men and women aims to draw an elite national field. A cut is made after 36 holes, and the field is open to any amateur golfer, national or international, and will be made up of the best-ranked golfers amongst the applications received.
