R.E.Lamkin Invitational: San Diego completes the sweep

San Diego men’s golf team shot 22-under 842 following their rounds of 282-277-283 to register a win by a four-shot margin at R.E. Lamkin Invitational at San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, Calif.
Fresno State and Colorado secured joint runner-up finishes at a matching total score of 18-under par. Fresno State carded rounds of 276-282-288, and Colorado shot 282-276-288 to achieve the feat.
San Diego entered the final round trailing Fresno State and Colorado by a shot and carded a final round 283 against their matching 288s to register a four-shot win at the tournament.
In the individual competition, Craig Ronne, a graduate student at San Diego, secured his first individual title by a two-shot margin, firing rounds of 70-65-69 for a total score of 12-under par.
Ronne is currently ranked 172nd on the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com U.S. Rankings.
Mason Snyder, a freshman at Loyola Marymount, carded rounds of 65-71-70 to register a runner-up finish at 10-under par.
On the statistics front, Ronnie shared the lead for the most birdies with Snyder from Loyola Marymount and Blaze Akana from Hawaii, accumulating 17 birdies in the tournament. Meanwhile, San Diego, as a team, led the field on par 4s with a scoring average of 3.99, closely followed by San Diego State with 4.01.
