Pac-12 Preview: UCLA sweeps to win fourth tournament this season

UCLA and
Zoe Campos won the Pac-12 Women's Preview at Nanea Golf Club in Kailua Kona, HI., sweeping the awards at the tournament and putting the conference on notice early in the season.
UCLA shot consistent rounds of 289-288-288 to finish 11-under and win by four shots over Stanford. The Cardinals finished 7-under and in solo second place.
UCLA shot a final round 4-under 68 to close the door on the rest of the field.
The Bruins and Cardinals gained size-able leads on the field, with Arizona finishing in solo third place at even par, USC finishing at solo fourth place at 3-over, and Washington finishing in solo fifth place at 5-over.
Campos won the individual title for UCLA, holding off Amari Avery of USC and Paula Martin Sampedro of Stanford by a narrow one-shot margin.
Campos finished at 8-under after a final round 3-under 70. Campos shot rounds of 71-70-70 to get to 8-under at the par 73 course. Avery and Martin Sampedro finished at 7-under and T2.

Kate Villegas of UCLA and Sadie Englemann of Stanford finished T4 at 4-under. Carolina Melgrati of Arizona, Lucia Lopez-Ortega of San Jose State, and Gile Bite Starkute of Arizona finished T6 at 3-under.
Villegas made an ace on the par-3 No. 11 in the final round.
Campos has made a significant impact in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings, currently sitting at No. 36. In 2023, Campos won the Anuenue Spring Break Classic and the Silverado Showdown. She finished in solo second place at the NCAA Women's Southeast Regional and T7 at the Pac-12 Women's Championships.
