Jeremy Gandon wins Northern Texas PGA Players Tour event at Firewheel

Jeremy Gandon, 27, from Valence, France, and a graduate of Kansas State University, shot 10-under par following his rounds of 66-68 to win the Northern Texas PGA Players Tour event by a three-shot margin at the Lakes Course at Firewheel in Garland, Tex.
Garrison Smith of Mansfield, Tex., and Ryan Grider from Lewisville, Tex. posted impressive scores of 7-under par, securing a shared runner-up finish in the tournament. Smith carded rounds of 70-67, while Grider recorded 68-69 for their joint second-place position.
Garrison Smith recently graduated from New Mexico State University, while Ryan Grider, a Baylor graduate, has spent his last two years participating in a total of seven events on the PGA TOUR Canada and KFT.
Gandon, currently residing in Dallas, Tex., can also be referred to as a globe-trotter, as he consistently competes on the Asian Tour, KFT, and PGA TOUR Latinoamérica. Additionally, he participated in a single event on the PGA TOUR at the Houston Open in 2019, achieving a T66 finish after shooting 2-over par.
Brian Dwyer of South Lake, Tex., emerged victorious last week at the Northern Texas PGA Players Tour event held in Grapevine, Tex.
The tournament featured 59 players, including 10 amateurs. Tony Romo, a former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, made his second appearance in the tournament but did not finish (DNF) after shooting a 75 in the opening round. Similarly, he withdrew after a 76 in the first round last week.
