Two Rivers Senior: Kevin Vandenberg wins in a playoff

Kevin Vandenberg won the 2023 Two Rivers Senior Invitational at Two Rivers Country Club in Williamsburg, Va., with a birdie on the third playoff hole.
Vandenberg and Daniel Neveu finished the three rounds at Two Rivers 2-under after Vandenberg birdied No. 18 and Neveu bogeyed No. 17.
On the third playoff hole, Vandenberg birdied to win the invitational.
Ron Totton and Rob Bradshaw finished T3, and just one shot back of the playoff at 1-under. These were the only four golfers to shoot under par in the Division.
2021 champion Steve Serrao finished in solo fifth place at 2-over.
Vandenberg was hot from the start, starting his first round 4-under through eight holes. Vandenberg recorded 12 birdies, two double bogeys, and six bogeys through the 54 holes.
2022 champion David Partridge successfully defended his title, winning the Super Senior Division by four shots and shooting 3-under. Partridge shot rounds of 72-73-74 to win.
In the Legends Division, Barry Flaer won by an impressive 12 shots, shooting 2-under par and rounds of 68-70-76. Flaer got out to a 12-shot lead after the first two rounds and had the best two rounds of the tournament in the Legends Division.

competition for seniors (50-64),
super-seniors (65+) and legends (70+). The
field is limited to 80 contestants with an established
handicap index of 10.0 or
less as selected by the Two Rivers Senior Invitational
Committee.
