Alabama Senior Four-Ball: Shaw Pritchett and Jeff Taylor defend their 2022 title

Defending Champions Shaw Pritchett and Jeff Taylor of Montgomery went low to lead wire-to-wire at the 29th Alabama State Senior Four-Ball Championship.
Pritchett and Taylor posted a 7-under 65 for the Final Round and finished the Championship with a 20-under 196.
“Jeff definitely carried me today,” said Pritchett. “It was tough coming out the gate, but he really stepped up and set the tone for our team today.”
“It’s always great to play with Shaw,” said Taylor. “Shaw’s my best friend.”
Danny Spybey of Spanish Fort and Joey Holley of Troy placed second. They finished the day with a 3-under 69, carding a 16-under 200 for the Championship.
After a scorecard playoff, the team's Mark Woods of Homewood and Doug Davis of Birmingham won third place.
The team completed the Final Round with a 4-under 68; they posted a 13-under 203 overall.
After a three-team playoff for the Championship title, Dana Amberson of Hartselle and Harry Kirkland of Decatur won the 5th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championship. Amberson poured a 20-foot putt for birdie on the second playoff hole.
They fired a 6-under 66 for the round and secured the victory with a 15-under 201 overall. After a scorecard playoff, Steve Norman of Greenville and Terry Chapman of Monroeville took home silver.
They posted a four-under 68 for the Final Round and a 15-under 201 overall. The team of Hamp Andrews of Loxley and Earl Bidez of Birmingham claimed bronze, carding a three-under 69 for the day and a 15-under 201 overall.
