Maui Jim Intercollegiate: Auburn continues to lead, San Diego State closes the gap

The Auburn Tigers continue to lead after two rounds completed at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate at Mirabel Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
However, the San Diego State Aztecs are lurking.
The 2022 champions are in solo first place at 41-under, but San Diego State only sits two shots back at 39-under. Fresno State is at 32-under in solo third place, SMU is right behind Fresno State at 31-under and in solo fourth place, and Ohio State jumped into fifth place at 26-under.
In the individual competition, San Diego State's Justin Hastings continues to lead after 36 holes.
Hastings led through the first round after a 9-under 62, and he followed that up in the second round with a 6-under 65 to sit at 15-under and in solo first place.
Hasting's teammate at San Diego State, Shea Lague, is in solo second place at 14-under after a second-round 8-under 63. Lague shot a first-round 6-under 65.
Ohio State's and U.S. Amateur runner-up Neal Shipley moves into a tie for third place with Zach Kingsland of SMU, Owen Avrit of Oregon, and Joseph Lloyd of Fresno State at 12-under. Matthew Sutherland of Fresno State and Jackson Koivun of Auburn are tied for seventh place at 11-under.
