Peter Wood wins the Santa Cruz City Championship
Peter Wood won the Santa Cruz Amateur with rounds of 71-67 for a total of 2-under. Neil Ostermann finished in solo second place at 1-under, and Billy Moon finished in solo third place at even par.
Wood was 1-over after the first round and was sitting in T2 with three other golfers. He was one shot back of Ostermann, Moon, and Thomas Bischoff, who all shot even par 70 in the first round.
Wood backed up his 71 with a tournament-low 67 and one of only two rounds under 70, Ostermann shooting a 1-under 69 for the other one.
John Stembridge finished in solo fourth place at 2-over, and Thomas Bischoff and Caleb Shetler finished T5 at 4-over through the 36 holes.
