Italian Amateur: Tommaso Zorzetto joins esteemed list of winners

Tommaso Zorzetto won the Men's International Championship of Italy with a score of 14-under. Zorzetto shot rounds of 68-70-68-68 on the par 72 course in Fiano Torinese. It was a great day for Italy, with Elia Dallanegra finishing in second place at 12-under.
Luke Rimauro and Maxime Legros finished tied for third place at 11-under. Charles Melgrati, Loic Naas, Ugo Malcor, and Luke Horses all finished in fifth place at 10-under.
Zorzetto finished the first round in ninth place but rounds of 70-68-68 over the final three rounds helped him finish in the top spot.
Zorzetto celebrated his 23rd birthday, which has just passed, after winning the Targa d'Oro Villa d'Este in June. His wins include the City of Padua Grand Prix, the individual Veneto Regional Championship, the San Marco Lion, and the Montecchia Trophy.
120 competitors took part in the tournament, including 52 players from France, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, South Africa, and India. Stroke play was 72 holes with a cut after 54, which was 6-over. 63 players made the cut.
