North & South Amateur final match of Karl Vilips and Nick Dunlap postponed
Karl Vilips slept on the lead
Just after Karl Vilips and Nick Dunlap made the turn to the back nine at the North & South Amateur, heavy storms forced the stoppage of play at Pinehurst #2.
Vilips was leading Dunlap 2-up through 10 holes when the horn blew.
Vilips won the first two holes to take a fast lead over Dunlap and the two then halved every hole through 10 holes after that. Vilips birdied both of the first two holes.
The Semifinal matches took place in the morning, with Karl Vilips defeating Jackson Van Paris 2 & 1 and Nick Dunlap defeating Gustav Frimodt 1-up.
