Steve Serrao of Midlothian, Va. won the Two Rivers Country Club Senior Invitational in dominant fashion, finishing his three rounds in 6-under par, five clear of Sherrill Britt.
The third round highlighted Serrao's exceptional play; his 69 was the best round of the day by three shots. In fact, among the forty players in the field, there were only three scores of 69, and Serrao shot two of them. He was also the only player to complete all three rounds at par or better.
Serrao set the tone early, as he was in the first group to tee off and fired a blistering 31 on the front nine. In the three rounds, Serrao played the front nine in 8-under par.
Serrao is a staple in Virginia senior competitions, having won the Virginia Senior Amateur in 2019 and finishing in second place in 2021.
In the super senior division,
Don Donatoni shot 73-75-72 to win by four shots. The West Chester, Pa. native is a past senior and super senior Pennsylvania State Amateur champion who won eight straight Pennsylvania super senior player of the year awards from 2013-2020.
