MONTEREY, Calif. (May 25, 2008)--Monterey's Chris Marin is making a habit out of winning amateurgolf.com tournaments.

Five months removed from losing a tough playoff battle with Casey Boyns at the amateurgolf.com Christmas Classic, Marin took home the AGC California Mid-Amateur and followed that up with a two-stroke victory at the amateurgolf.com Monterey Bay Championship, finishing at 75-72--147, 3-over-par.

Marin's final round was the best of the tourney. He is currently tops in the amateurgolf.com - Bridgestone Golf Tournament Series Player Rankings, with a 25 point lead over Randy Haag.

Marin defeated San Francisco City champ Martin Trainer by two strokes, with Bill Moore taking third at 150, three strokes off the pace.

In the senior flight, Rob Schneider prevailed by one stroke, topping Rob Adolph with a 79-75--154.

Jason Savorn edged John Steinberger in the net flight.

-A special thanks goes out to Director of Golf Joe Priddy and Tournament Coordinator Julio Rodriguez for all of their help and support of the event
