Registration open for 2nd Annual Palm Springs Golf Championships
Palm Springs in January is every golfer's dream. Daily highs are between 65-70 degrees. Most, if not all of the Coachella Valley's 100 courses are in peak condition. So it only makes sense that the Palm Springs Amateur Championship is returning to PGA West (Norman, Nicklaus, Stadium), La Quinta Resort (Dunes, Mountain), and Mission Hills CC (Palmer) for a second year.
The 2nd Annual Palm Springs Golf Championship is hosted January 4-8, 2020, one week before a major PGA Tour event, The Desert Classic. This championship consists of both a Gross Division & Net Division.
The Gross Division will challenge PGA West in PGA Tour condition. You will play it like the pros!
The Net Players Divisions will play Monday and Tuesday on the Dunes and Mountain courses at La Quinta Resort & Club. The Mountain Course at La Quinta Resort & Club is the former host site for the annual PGA Tour's Q-School. The Championship round will take place at the Mission Hills Country Club - Arnold Palmer course, "the King's" first course in the Palm Springs valley.
Your entry to the Palm Springs Amateur Championship Includes:
- 54 Holes of Championship Golf
- Awards: trophies are awarded to each flight's 1st, 2nd, 3rd finishers
- Monday night Kick-off Party at the 19th hole, a 2-acre private ranch
- Awards dinner by Uncorked Cuisine

ABOUT THE
Palm Springs Golf Championships
The Palm Springs Golf Championships is the
newest
national amateur golf tournament on the West
Coast,
played in
the heart of the prime Palm Springs golf
season.
The tournament field will consist of a Gross
Division
and four Net Divisions: Young Gunz (men under
age
50), Young
Galz (women under age 50), Senior Men (50
and
over), and Senior Women (50 and over).
Divisions
are based on
the entrant’s age as of the first day of the
tournament.
The Gross Division will play the Nicklaus and
and Stadium courses at PGA West. Net
Divisions will
play the
Dunes and Mountain courses at La Quinta
Resort &
Club, and another course to be determined.
There is only one flight in the Gross Division
and
they will play the Blue or Championship Tees.
The
Women’s
Division flights will play from the red tees. The
Young Gunz flights will play from either the
Black or
White Tees.
The Senior Men’s flights will play from either
the
White or Gold Tees. A player’s flight
assignment in
the Young
Gunz and Senior Men divisions will be a
function of
the tees a player elects to play and then by the
player’s course
handicap. The Competition Committee is
flighting
these divisions by tees selected, not by age.
The Palm Springs Golf Championships will also
serve
as a
national qualifier for the
USGC King's Cup National
Championship.
