Sixth extra hole is a charm as Truesdale, Lightsey win SC 4-Ball

It took six playoff holes at Columbia Country Club in Blythewood, S.C., but Brandon Truesdale of Rock Hill, S.C., and Jamie Lightsey of Indian Land, S.C., are the 2019 Players Four Ball Champions after a final round score of 64 and a two-day total of 15-under 129.

Robert Dargan of and Jon O’Brien, both of Columbia, S.C., finished in second place and Thomas Todd and Matt Wiggins, both of Laurens, S.C., finished in third.

Truesdale and Lightsey’s final round of 64 consisted of seven birdies and was highlighted by a Lightsey hole-in-one on the par-3 fifth hole. At the end of the day, the Championship duo found themselves in three-way tie after the team bogied their final hole of the day, the 405-yard, par-4 second hole.

After making all pars on the first five holes of the playoff, a Lightsey birdie on the par-4 sixth capped their title run.
