Robert Skeen and Devaughn Robinson came from behind on Feb. 24 to win the South Four-Ball presented by Impact Precision Golf. The duo charged up the leaderboard on Sunday and posted an 8-under 64 en route to a three-shot victory at Sugar Creek Country Club.
Skeen and Robinson tag-teamed the final round with Skeen rolling in four birdies and Robinson recording five birdies. The duo had one bogey on their card in the final round.
A final-round 64 was the low round of the tournament and a 12-under 132 total for 36 holes was three shots better than runners-up Jonathan Shipley and Toby Zeringue, who finished in solo second at 9-under 135.
Shipley and Zeringue put up a fight with a final-round 5-under 67, but it wasn’t enough to match Skeen and Robinson’s effort. Zeringue recorded his second career hole-in-one during the first round.
Four teams tied for third place at 8-under 136, including Joey Rippel and Blake Redmond, Scott Terrell and Matthew Barth, John Dowdall and Benjamin Biederer and Bryan Mitchell and Josh Ketter.
