Ted Neville and Jonas Mentjox used back-to-back rounds of 66 at Randolph Golf Course in Tucson, Ariz., to win the Tatum Best-Ball Tournament. It marks Neville’s second consecutive title in the event, only he teamed with Scott Smith to win last year.
Neville and Mentjox edged two teams by a single shot. Mallory Miller and Charlie Comolli opened with 63 to take a share of the lead, but a final-round 70 left them one shot out of it. Rob Fillmore and Travis Bailey had a similar story. They had rounds of 64-69 to finish in a share of second.
David Scott and Cyrus Whitney also made headlines with an opening 63, only to fall back to a final-round 72 and finish three shots out of it. Whitney is an accomplished senior amateur who won the 2013 Senior Porter Cup.
