Spencer, McKean run away with Fresno Four-Ball title

FRESNO, Calif. (Dec. 2, 2018) – Chad Spencer and George McKean are the Fresno City Four-Ball champions after leaving the field in their dust with rounds of 60-64 at Riverside Golf Course.
The pair combined for 10 birdies and an eagle – courtesy of Spencer – in their opening 60. That included three consecutive birdies to end the day. The round left them with a six-shot lead that they turned into an eight-shot victory with a closing 64. They were 20 under for the tournament.
Spencer is the head men's golf coach at Fresno State University.
Matth Hovan and Daniel Semmler as well as T.J. Masters and Landon Polterock reached 12 under for 36 holes. Masters and Polterock had back-to-back rounds of 66 while Hovan, the former assistant golf coach at San Jose State, and Semmler had rounds of 68-64.
Jason and Ryan Higton, brothers who won this event in 2012 and 2016, tied for seventh at 5 under.
