BOULDER CITY, Nev. (Nov. 18, 2018) – With rounds of 69-71 at Boulder Creek Golf Club, Greg Horodesky pulled off a three-shot victory at the Clark County Amateur.
Horodesky, winner of the 2013 Nevada State Amateur, managed to keep the big numbers off his card over the weekend at Boulder Creek. The highlight of the weekend was an eagle at the par-5 13th in Round 1.
Behind Horodesky, Daren Johnson and Lorenzo Gillenwater tied for second at 1 under. Johnson had matched Horodesky’s opening 69, but couldn’t keep pace on Sunday.
Zac Frazier, who plays out of TPC Las Vegas and qualified for this year’s U.S. Amateur Four-Ball with partner Christopher Laughlin, had back-to-back rounds of even-par 72 to come in fourth. James Allred, who opened with 67 to take the first-round lead, was fifth after a closing 77.
In the net division, Robert Golden finished at 3-under 141 to win the title by three shots over Hugh Manning.
