Sullivan and Asbell go wire to wire at SC Players Four-Ball

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (Nov. 5, 2018) – After shooting a final-round score of 66 and a two-day total of 130, Christopher Asbell and Jeff Sullivan are the 2018 Players Four-Ball champions. The 34th edition of the team event was contested at Columbia Country Club.
Asbell and Sullivan carded eight birdies and two bogeys in their final round to secure the championship. The sides of Weston Bell/Robert Lutomski, Brian Amick/John Duke and Mike Cobb/Blake Maull all finished in a tie for second with 36-hole totals of 134.
Two teams finished tied for first in the first flight. The teams of Cliff Hicks/Whit Suber along with Brooks and Rusty Massey finished with a two-day total of 139. Lee Gronkiewicz and Scott Prince finished on top in the Second Flight with a final score of 143.
The field consisted of 46 two-man teams playing best ball format conducted over 36 holes. The championship had to be rescheduled to this particular weekend due to the impacts of Hurricane Florence in September.
