Oscar Mestre blitzes William Hyndman III Memorial Field

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA (August 17, 2018) - University of Delaware Hall of Famer Oscar Mestre blitzed the field to win the William Hyndman III Memorial by nine shots.
An NCAA All-American Honorable Mention for Delaware in the early 1980's, Mestre carded rounds of 75-68-75 to finish 8-over and well in front of runner-up Jeff Poet.
The second round 2-under 68 was the only red figure tally that the field could post at Huntingdon Valley Country Club.
Third place was shared by Mike Fagen and Joe Corsi while Byron Whitman and Rick Gerbert tied for fifth.
In the Super Senior Division Fred Stern was able to just outlast Don Erickson III by a stroke for the title. Frank Polizzi was third, Alan Van Horn took fourth while John Gonsior snd John O’Malley shared fifth.
