LOMPOC, CA (April 23, 2018) - Brett Patton shot rounds of 71-74 to win the Lompoc City Championship by three shots at La Purisima Golf Club.
Patton, who finished his college golf career at UC Santa Barbara last year, sat two shots behind first-round leader Jack Perry after the first round but held steady as the scoring got tougher on Sunday and everyone else backed up.
Perry struggled to a 79 Sunday but still secured a runner-up spot, along with Hunter Epson, who was tied with Patton after round one but closed with a 77.
Chris Blystone was fourth at 149, with Brandon Gama fifth at 150.

In the Net division, Robert Capelli shot 70-73 for a three-shot win over Bob Bolusan (72-74). First round leader Steve Lown shot an excellent 67 in round one but followed it with an 81 to slip to third.
Four players--Howard Hall, Mark Charmley, Mark John, and Dan Struble--tied for fourth at 150.
Once again La Purisima showed itself to be a supreme championship test, with no one in the Championship division able to match par for the fourth straight year, and only one player in the Net division in red figures.
La Purisima will host the Central Coast Senior Invitational June 9-10, as well as the La Purisima Masters (a two-man best ball tournament) September 14-16, and the Santa Barbara County Championship October 13-14.
