Texas repeats at Big 12 Women's Championship
Hook'em horns have won a second straight Big 12 Women's title

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 22, 2018) - Behind three top-10 performances Texas has won the Big 12 Women's Championship for the second straight year and fifth time in program history.
Led by runner-up Emilee Hoffman, even-par for the tournament, the Longhorns finished 16-over and eight clear of shared second place finishers Oklahoma State (+24) and Baylor (+24). In fourth it was Iowa State (+25) while Oklahoma (+28) was fifth.
Also in the top-10 for Texas were Kaitlyn Papp (T4; +3) and Sophia Schubert (T8; +6).
The medalist title went to the only player to finish under-par at the Dallas Athletic Club, Celia Barquin Arozamena of Iowa State. Arozamena combined rounds of 73-71-69 to sign for a 3-under showing and a three shot triumph.
Following the top two of Arozamena and Hoffman in the individual race top-five were Chih-Min Chen (Oklahoma State) in third at 3-over and Papp (Texas); Hannah Wood (Oklahoma) in fourth at 3-over.
