Todd Clements cruises to Euro Nations Cup Title

SOTOGRANDE, Spain (April 21, 2018) - With three sub-par rounds including a 2-under 70 final round Todd Clements took the European Nations Cup by five-strokes following a 5-under finish.
On day four at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande the native of England birdied three-times and bogeyed once to close out the title. Even-par after eight holes Clement rolled in birdies on Nos. 9 and 14 as he played steady to the end.
The victory was Clements first Golfweek.com/AmateurGolf.com Ranking victory since winning the 2017 English Amateur Championship.
Second place was shared by Alex Gleeson, Rasmus Petersen-Neergaard and Gian-Marco Petrozzi at even-par while Joel Moscatel and Matthew Jordan shared fifth at 3-over.
In the Women's Division Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen finished 7-over to win by two-strokes over Candice Mahe.
Nielsen, a point earner in three 2018 AmateurGolf.com Women events, saved her best golf for last birdieing three of the last four holes, including the last two. The strong closing stretch saw Nielsen sign for a final round 1-under 71.
Of Note: The Men's Team title went to England at 11-under as the only team to finish under-par. In the Women's Team race France earned a 14-stroke victory.
