Trey Davis wins Davis City with a closing 62

DAVIS, CA (April 8, 2017) - On the final day of the Davis City Championship Trey Davis overcame a six-stroke deficit with a closing 5-under 62 to win the title.
With the stellar final round Davis, who started the tournament with an even-par 67, finished the tournament at Davis Golf Course 5-under and one shot in front of 4-under second place finishers Allen Garner and Mikey Slesinski.
Max Ferrari was 1-under in third while Kevin Alexander and Darren Fegley shared fifth at even-par
In the Senior Division John Rotteveel took home the title by a shot after signing for rounds of 70-66 to finish 2-over. The victory by a stroke allowed Rotteveel to bounce back from a playoff lose one year ago.
Herb Jensen and Mark Madrigal shared second at 3-over while three more were 5-over in fourth.
Other winners included First Flight champion Doug Speakman, Casey Cross defended his title in the Second Flight as did Jim Fagan in the Third Flight.
