ABOUT THE Sacramento City

The 104th annual Sacramento City Men's Golf Championship will be contested at the Alister MacKenzie GC at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex on Saturday and Sunday, June 7-8, 2025. The tournament is open to all male amateur golfers with a current WHS (World Handicap System) index of 5.0 or less.

The tournament format is stroke-play over 36 holes with 18 holes each day and a maximum of 108 players. Play will be in groups of three with 9-minute intervals from the 1st tee starting at 7:00 AM each day. Sunday pairings will be based on Saturday scores with the leaders competing at the end of the field.

The entry fee is $215 per player and includes green fees and range balls for both days and prize fund - power carts are not included. Practice rounds will be available after 1:30 PM up to seven days prior to the tournament for $20 walking and $30 with cart.

The player with the 36-hole low score will be declared the 2025 Sacramento City Men’s Amateur Champion. His name will be inscribed on the perpetual trophy and he will receive a crystal to take home. The awards presentation will immediately follow play at the large tournament scoreboard. Approximately 25% of the field will be awarded with merchandise certificates. All merchandise certificates are redeemable at either Haggin Oaks, Bing Maloney or Bartley Cavanaugh golf shops.

Players wishing to use this tournament as a qualifier for the State Fair Championship (SFC) on Labor Day weekend must pay an additional $25 during entry. To qualify for the SFC, you must finish in the top 20 in the City Men’s Amateur field.

The entry deadline is May 28, 2025, but may close earlier if the 108-field limit is reached.
