Host LSU, Claudia De Antonio win LSU Tiger Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE, LA (March 25, 2018) - Behind medalist winner Claudia De Antonio's 1-under showing the LSU Tigers captured their own LSU Tiger Golf Classic on Sunday at The University Club.
The Tigers finished 38-over and two shots in front of runner-up Houston (+40), Virginia (+53) and NC State (+53) shared third while Mercer (+63) was fifth.
LSU started the final round 11-shots behind Houston before rallying during the final round to claim their first team title since 2015.
De Antonio, the only player to finish under-par, picked up her first career medalist title with rounds of 74-72-69. During her final 3-under 69 De Antonio birdied five-times and bogeyed twice. She birdied three-times in a row on the front side carding circles on Nos. 3-5.
Sydney Cavin (T10; +10) and Kathleen Gallagher (T12: +11) also showed well for LSU.
The top-five of the individual standings were completed by Houston's Leonie Harm (+4) in second, Julie Houston (+5) of UTSA and Megan Thothong (+5) of Houston in third while Virginia's Katharine Patrick (+7) took fifth.
