Goleta City: Playoff Win for Foy

GOLETA, CA (March 25, 2018) - Kelly Foy of Santa Barbara defeated Ramie Sprinkling of Camarillo in a playoff to win the Goleta City Championship at Glen Annie Golf Club.
Foy began the final round four shots behind overnight leader Bryce Loosigian of Fresno, who shot a 2-under 69 in round one. But Loosigian backed up in round two, shooting a 79 to finish tied for sixth at 6-over 148.
On a difficult day for scoring, Foy was the only player in the field to match par, shooting a 71 to finish at 2-over 144.
Sprinkling shot 71-73 to finish at the same number. Foy then won on the first playoff hole.
Brett Patton of Santa Barbara finished alone in third at 72-74--146. Ryan Cuenca of San Jose (70-77) and Zach Schradermeier of Altadena (73-74) tied for fourth.
Will Vasquez won the low net competition by five shots with net scores of 68-70.
In the Women's Division, Gabriella Minier won by three shots over Marni Murez. Both players shot 77 in the first round but Minier's 79 was good enough to give her the title.
