O FALLON, MO (July 12, 2017) - Birdies early and birdies late pushed Sam Migdal over the top as he captured the Missouri Stroke Play title at Winghaven Country Club.
Beginning the day at even-par Migdal closed with a 3-under 69 to finish 3-under overall and as the two-stroke winner over Jeremy Franklin.
Migdal started his day on a high note with birdies on the 1st and 4th holes to reach 2-under before hitting a lull and dropping a stroke on the 13th hole to fall to 1-under. The dropped stroke for the two-time defending Old Warson Cup winner didn't faze Migdal however as he rebounded with birdies on Nos. 16 and 17 to create the necessary separation.
The top-five of the leaderboard was rounded out by Alex Cusumano and Travis Mays in third at even-par while defending champion Skip Berkmeyer took fifth with a 1-over showing.
