The Chechessee Creek Club is one of a

OKATIE, SC (May 25, 2017) -
Kevin King of Bluffton, SC won the 2017 Lowcountry Invitational by a single shot over
Jack Hall of Savannah, GA as the weather interrupted and ultimately wiped out the final round of play at Chechessee Creek Club.
Hall, the defending champion, opened with a 70 at the Callawassie Island Club and was one shot behind Jim Starnes of Fort Myers, FL with King in third at 72.
The scores were higher as the field moved to Old Tabby Links on Spring Island for round two. As Starnes fell out of contention, King held steady with a 75 to take a one-shot lead over Hall (78) and Steve Walczak (73) of Greenville, DE.
Final-round play was underway at the Chechessee Creek Club when lightning halted play. The weather never relented, and so the final round was canceled and King was declared the winner.
In the Super Seniors (65+) division, Allan Small of Florham Park, NJ used a 68 at Old Tabby to separate himself from the field by four shots and take the win. Evan Long of Charlotte, NC finished solo second, with three golfers tied for third, seven shots behind Small.
In the Legends (70+) division, Mike Weiner earned a four-shot win over Skip Snow and tournament host Gary Shimmin.
