STOCKBRIDGE, GA (May 17, 2017) - Donny Phillips closed with his third consecutive 3-under 69 to finish 9-under and as the four shot winner of the Geranium Senior Invitational hosted by Eagle's Landing Country Club.
The stellar play helped Phillips to a four-stroke win over runner-up Chris Hall (-5). In third place it was Bob Levy (+3), Steve Humphrey (+5) was fourth and in fifth came Allen Peake (+6).
In the Super Senior Division Don Russell emerged as the victor. Playing from behind, Russell shot a final round 2-under 70 to post 3-under. Pete Allen led by four shots at the start of the day but settled for second at 1-under, Mike Jackson at 3-over was third while in fourth came Jim Kamis and John Armstrong at 4-over.
The Legends Division title went to the 5-under Don Kuehn. This week Kuehn combined rounds of 72-70-69 to emerge as the winner.
At 2-under Dick Van Leuvan took second, Ed Craig and Gary Unell shared third at 1-over while in forth came the 2-over Joe Pavoni.

By combining rounds of 69-69 Donny Phillips has posted a 138 tally and he holds a two shot lead with one round remaining at the Geranium Senior Invitational hosted by Eagle's Landing Country Club.
Beginning the round in a close second place is Chris Hall (71-69--140), in a distant third it is Steve Humphrey (75-71--146), Bob Levy (70-78--148) is fourth while in fifth it is Allen Peake (73-76--149).
In the Super Senior Division the way is being paved by four-stroke leader Pete Allen (69-70--139) and like Phillips he will be attempting to go wire-to-wire on Wednesday.
Don Russell (73-70--143) is second and in a tie for third it is Don Marsh (75-70--145) and Mike Jackson (73-72--145).
The Legends Division lead belongs to Ed Craig (70-71--141) but right on his heels is Don Kuehn (72-70--142). Two players; Dick Van Leuvan (72-71--143) and Earl Daniell (73-70--143) are sharing third.
