SPRINGFIELD, NJ (April 26, 2017) - For the fourth year in the row the Golf Association of Philadelphia has defeated the New Jersey Golf Association to win the Compher Cup. Played this year at Baltusrol Golf Club's Lower Course the GAP won 13.5-4.5 to retain the cup.

The GAP set the tone early in the day by winning the morning four-ball session 4.5-1.5. The full points in the morning went to the GAP's Jeff Osberg and Matthew Finger (3&2), Christopher Crawford and Ben Feld (4&3), Christopher Ault and Scott McLaughlin (2&1), Benjamin Smith and John Brennan (4&3).

After a break following morning play the GAP picked up right where they left off winning nine of a potential 12 points during the afternoon singles matches.

Winning full points for the GAP on Wednesday afternoon were Jeff Osberg (6&5), Matthew Finger (2 up), Peter Barron, III (2&1), Stephen Seiden (8&6), Christopher Crawford (5&4), Ben Feld (2&1), Christopher Ault (2&1) and Benjamin Smith (2&1).
