Kevin Handlan captures the Missouri Senior Amateur

RAYMORE, MO (September 27, 2016) -- Thanks to a 4-under 68 in the final round Kevin Handlan has won the Missouri Senior Amateur at The Golf Club at Creekmore.
Following an even-par 72 during Monday's first round Handlan was four behind but was able to storm in front with five birdie, one bogey final day. Handlan reached red figures for good with a birdie on No. 4 after a birdie-bogey stretch on Nos. 2 and 3.
Once under-par Handlan kept the peddle to the mettle with three more birdies on the 10th, 12th and 18th holes to reach his 36-hole 4-under tally.
The only other play under-par was second place finisher Frank Hoback who finished 1-under. Hoback put together two day scores of 70-73.
Ed Brown and Harry Roberts both finished 3-over in a distant tie for third. Three others finished 4-over and tied for fifth.
First round leader Don Kuehn struggled in the final round and ended up 5-over in a tie for eighth.
