Kevin Belknap captured the Kansas Senior Amateur in a playoff

WICHITA, KS (August 16, 2016) -- Playing in his hometown Kevin Belknap bested defending champion Tim McKinnis of Lyons in sudden death to win the 36th Kansas Senior Amateur Championship at Rolling Hills Country Club. Belknap and McKinnis finished the 36-hole championship at 5-under par 139 after both posted rounds of 2-under par 70 in the final round on Tuesday.
In sudden death, Belknap was victorious on the second sudden death hole. Topeka's Mark Elliott finished in third, first round leader Tracy Chamberlin of Wichita was fourth.
In the Super Senior Division, Lawrence's Richard Stuntz made it two straight titles after finishing one shot ahead of Wichita's Ben York. Stuntz finished at even par 144 total. Ottawa's Bob Bezek and Overland Park's Dave Harris finished in a tie for third place.

Association. 36 holes of individual stroke play with
two
divisions: Championship (any age 50+) and Super
Senior (60+). Players that wish to compete for the
overall championship must enter the Championship
