SANDS POINT, NY (August 16, 2016) -- With rounds of 67-70 Bradley Rock Jr. has won the Long Island Mid-Amateur at Sands Point Golf Club. Rock Jr. was the only player to finish in red figures as the posted a 36-hole 3-under tally.

On Monday Rock Jr. began his round on the 10th and turned for his second nine 1-over-par. He was still 1-over after the 2nd hole before going on a run to close out his round. Rock Jr. birdied Nos. 3 and 4 to move to 1-under and then finished his day with birds on the 8th and 9th. The 3-under 67 in the first round was good enough for a share of the 18-hole lead.

During the final round Rock Jr. again got off to a slow start falling to 1-under after a bogey on the 10th. However down the stretch Rock Jr. would pull away a bit with a birdie on the 12th and another on No. 15.

Colby Anderson and Don Enga shared second place with a two round even-par total.

Anderson combined consecutive rounds of 70; each day carding four birdies and four bogeys.

Enga made a final day run and reached 2-under with a birdie on the 11th before bogeying the 16th and 18th holes to lose a couple of stroke on the way in. Enga ended up signing for scores of 69-71.

Dan Goldstein finished in alone in fourth at 2-over while Brad Barnett, Bryan Pendrick and first round co-leader Jonathan Ostrow shared fifth at 4-over.
