CHICAGO, IL (July 24, 2016) -- With three rounds in the 60's Blaine Buente was able to capture the 112th playing of the Chicago City Amateur. Play at Jackson Park Golf Club Buente shot rounds of 66-67-67 to finish 10-under and ahead of Alex Koulos by three-strokes.

Buente will be heading into his senior season at Millikin University come fall time and he is is coming off a junior campaign that saw him win five times.

Teammate and recent Millikin graduate Alex Koulos was 7-under for the week following scores of 71-67-65.

Michael Fastert (-6) was third, in fourth it was Michael Natale (-4) while Kelly Gillikin (-3) was fifth.

In the women's division Erika Jackson won by two-strokes over Marie Bergelin. Makalia Brown was third.

ABOUT THE Chicago City Amateur

54-hole stroke play championship with a cut to the low 60% of the field plus ties after round two. Field limited to 96 players.
