TULSA, OK (July 12, 2016) -- Michael Hughett survived multiple weather delays as he won the Oklahoma Senior Stroke Play title at Meadowbrook Country Club. Hughett was the lone player to finish in red figures with a 36-hole score of 1-under.

A resident of Owasso, OK, Hughett paired rounds of 71-70. Following his even-par first day, Hughett was was 2-over through five holes on Tuesday before he was able to turn things around. His first birdie came on No. 6, he was then able to get back to even for the week with a birdie on No. 13. With five holes remaining Hughett rolled in one more birdie on the 15th to reach 1-under and create more than enough separation.

Hughett finished three-strokes clear of second place finishers Michael Alsup and Don Clark at 2-over.

The Super Senior Division was won by Bob Sine in runaway fashion. Sine completed play 1-over-par thanks to 70-73 scorecards.
