Thomason wins Fresno City Amateur

FRESNO, Calif. (May 30, 2016) -- Colby Thomason captured the Fresno City Amateur Sunday, firing a final round 71 for a 3-shot victory.
Thomason, a native of Fresno, entered the day trailing 36-hole Jason Higton leader by one shot but quickly erased the margin with a 1-under par 34 on the front nine to Higton's 1-over 37. Thomason added two more birdies on the back-nine included one on 17 which allowed him a stress-free 18th hole.
Higton finished in a tie for 2nd with Adam Stone who fired an impressive 4-under 68 which included seven birdies on the day.
