Three winners crowned at Scott Robertson Memorial Junior
ROANOKE, VA (May 22, 2016) - On the final day of the 2016 Scott Robertson Memorial at Roanoke Country Club three winners have been crowned.
GIRL'S 15-18 DIVISION
Emilia Migliaccio ran away with Girl's 15-18 Division, finishing 7-under and winning by six-strokes. Migliaccio is one of the top players in the high school class of 2017 and is considered by some the best junior player in the state of North Carolina.
During the three day Scott Robertson Memorial Migliaccio put together impressive scores of 67-66-73. Although Migliaccio did struggle to a 2-over score in the final round, she did more then enough during the first two days to secure the victory. Her most impressive stretch came on Saturday's front nine when Migliaccio birdied five consecutive holes and one additional hole to shoot a 6-under 30.
Youngin Chun (-1) finished second and was the only other player across the three divisions to finish under-par while Riley Rennell (+2) was third.
BOY'S 14 & UNDER DIVISION
Dawson Ovard, from Frisco, TX took home the title finishing the 54-hole Scott Robertson Memorial even-par. Ovard shot three consecutive 71's on his way to a three-stroke victory. In the final round Ovard birdied twice and bogeyed twice.
Joe Pagdin (+3) finished second and Adam Bratton (+5) was third.
GIRL'S 14 & UNDER DIVISION
Siyan Chen, of Hangzhou, China captured the title by four-strokes over Maisie Filler. In the final round Chen carded two birdies including a victory ensuring birdie on No. 17.
Yoona Kim finished third, eight-strokes off the pace set by Chen.

The Scott Robertson Memorial Golf
Tournament is a 54-hole stroke play
event held in memory of Scott
Robertson, a promising young Roanoke
Country Club golfer. Robertson, a 14
year-old ninth grader at North Cross
School, was a top student and sports
enthusiast who had won his age division
in several junior golf tournaments. Scott
died as a result of infectious
mononucleosis in the summer of 1982.
The tournament annually draws a
strong field from many states and
foreign countries. Contestants are
divided into four divisions: boys ages
14 and under, boys 15-18, girls ages
14 and under and girls 15-18.
