Long Beach Senior: Bobby Schaeffer wins by one
LONG BEACH, CA (May 21, 2016) - After 54-holes of play Bobby Schaeffer has emerged as the 2016 Long Beach Senior Amateur winner. Schaeffer strung together rounds of 74-69-74 to finish 1-over and a stroke ahead of second place finisher Brian Carson at El Dorado Park Golf Club.
Schaeffer, from La Quinta, CA, is off to a strong start in 2016 and after tying seventh at the Kelly Cup he has a win next to his name.
Finishing behind Schaeffer and Carson were Craig Calkins (+3) in third, Ken Klein (+4) in fourth and Bruce Loman (+7) in fifth.

Classic Senior (75+) flights, with net and gross
prizes. Must have a one-year established handicap

awards. Gross awards within age-based flights do
not require an established handicap.
