Mississippi State Four-Ball: David Griffin and Alan Boone are Winners
Hattiesburg, MS (April 24, 2016) -The Bill Cass Senior
Four-Ball Champions have long awaited this victory.
David Griffin and Alan Boone played consistently
throughout the 54-hole championships with a bogey-
free final round to secure the win. Griffin and Boone,
both of North Mississippi, were overjoyed to accept the
first awarded, Stan Hall Memorial Senior Four-Ball
trophy, in memory Stan Hall's passing this past
January. Following at the heals of the champions, Ken
Peacock and Chris Berry, who carded five birdies on
their final nine holes.
The Stan Hall Memorial Four-Ball Trophy was
awarded with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hall present to witness
the presentation and to present the trophy. Mr. and
Mrs. Hall were also present during the presentation to
the Bill Cass Super Senior Four-Ball Champions. In Mr.
Sam Hall's honor, the trophy was renamed the Sam
Hall Super Senior trophy for his dedication to the game
in Mississippi and his volunteerism spirit throughout the
Mississippi community.
Mr. Hall presented this trophy to Don West and
Charlie Pilkinton, both of Columbus, who started the
final round tied with Danny Hooker and Jud Vance.
West and Pilkinton edged past the competition to win
by two at fifteen under. Defending champions, Jim
Henderson and Steve Brantley almost caught the
champions by returned a seven under par, but it was
not enough. Henderson and Brantley finished as the
runner-up team in this Super Senior Four-Ball
Championship.

Bill Cass Senior Four-Ball
The tournament is scheduled for 54 holes of four-ball
stroke play, with Senior (ages 50+), Super Senior
(60+) and Grand Masters (70+) divisions. Senior
and Super Senior divisions will be flighted following
36 holes of play. The division of the team is
determined by the younger of the two players.
Competitors are required to have an active GHIN
Handicap through a USGA Licensed Mississippi Club.
Competitors must be bona fide residents of
Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to the first
round of the Championship.
