Team of Stephen Anderson and R.J. Nakashian win Palm Beach County Four-Ball
R.J. Nakashian
WELLINGTON, FL (April 17, 2016)--Stephen Anderson and R.J. Nakashian didn't give the field much of a chance at this years Palm Beach County Four-Ball. In the three day event played at the Palm Beach Polo and Country Club Anderson and Nakashian teamed for a 20-under-par score and a five-stroke triumph.
The due began play on Friday with a 59 and never looked back thanks to Saturday-Sunday scores of 66-71. Anderson (Hobe Sound, FL) and Nakashian (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) played bogey-free throughout the first two days and didn't record a bogey until the 13th hole on Sunday. They did follow with two additional bogeys for a total of three on the day but by then it was of little matter as they led by such a wide margin.
Friday's 59 saw Anderson and Nakashian card 13 birdies. In that first round they birdied three consecutive holes twice and closed the round with an astounding five consecutive birds. In all the team carded 21 birdies and an eagle in 54-holes of play.
The rest of the top-3 included Robbie Wight (West Palm Beach, FL) and Conor Richardson (West Palm Beach, FL) in second at 15-under; John Powers (Delray Beach, FL) and Chris Reeves (Jupiter, FL) in third at 14-under.
