Carolinas Mid-Am: Scott Harvey Leads by Five

DATAW ISLAND, SC (April 16, 2016--Scott Harvey (-5) is at it again leading the Carolina Mid-Amateur by four heading into Sunday's final round at the Dataw Island Club's Cotton Dike course. The two-time champion has shot rounds of 72-67 to take the 36-hole lead.
Harvey (Kernersville, NC) began the second round at even-par after an opening 72 but had everything clicking today on his way to a field best 67. He jump started his round on the third with an eagle on the par-5 third hole. From there on Harvey continued to dissect much of the course with five birdies and just two bogeys during the reminder of his round.
Two players begin play tomorrow in second place at 1-under. Lionel Sutton (La Grange, NC) made the most notable move of the day jumping up the leaderboard with a 4-under 68. Sutton began the day 3-over-par following an opening 75 but surged on day two. Steve Liebler (Irmo, SC) with rounds of 69-74 also shares the second place position. Uly Grisette (Winston Salem, NC) is even and in fourth.
