O'Sullivan and Valenzuela Show Well over Weekend at ANA
Hannah O'Sullivan
RANCHO MIRAGE, CA (April 3, 2016)--Of the seven amateurs that made the trip to the ANA Inspiration just two made the cut. 2016 Curtis Cup team member
Hannah O’Sullivan (+5) of Paradise Valley, AZ and
Albane Valenzuela (+5) of Switzerland both showed well over the weekend at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club and finished T65.
O'Sullivan, 17-years-old, has shown she has what it takes to make it to the weekend in majors. Last year she finished T50 at the Evian Masters and T53 at the U.S. Women's Open. At this weeks ANA Inspiration she shot rounds of 72-73-71-77.
Along with winning the U.S. Amateur last season the USC commit also became the youngest player to ever win on the Symetra Tour with her victory at the Gateway Challenge. O'Sullivan was just 16-years-old at the time.
Valenzuela shot rounds of 73-73-71-76 during her four days at the ANA Inspiration. The native of Switzerland has put together an impressive start to her 2016 season as she has finished second at the Portuguese International Ladies Amateur and T6 at Women's Sotogrande Cup.
