BRYAN, TX (April 3, 2016)--No. 10 Oklahoma State (864) has won the The Aggie Invitational at Traditions Golf Club by two-strokes over No. 19 LSU (866) and Arkansas (875). The Cowboys have now won three times this season.

Oklahoma State sophomore Kristoffer Ventura (-4) shared individual honors to lead the Cowboys with Arkansas sophomore Alvaro Ortiz (-4). For both players it was their first career win.

Ventura put together rounds of 69-72-71 to earn his share of the title. On the final day he played 1-under-par golf with four birdies, a double-bogey and a bogey.

The Cowboys were also led by three-time All-Big 12 performer senior Jordan Niebrugge (+2) and redshirt junior Wyndham Clark (+2) who both finished T16.

Alvaro Ortiz vaulted up three spots during the final round thanks to a 3-under-par 69. Ortiz shot 70-73 during yesterdays 36-holes.

Starting on No. 1 Ortiz birdied the first hole to jump start his final 18-holes. It was the first of six birdies on Sunday. Ortiz did bogey three holes but his birdie on the 18th gave him a share of the medalist honors.

Kent State junior Chase Johnson (-3) finished in third place just one behind the leaders.
