Auburn Comes From Behind to Win Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, FL (March 12, 2016)--The cream rose to the top on the final day of the Seminole Intercollegiate as No. 2 Auburn and No. 3 Florida State finished 1-2.
Auburn (850) found themselves 8-strokes behind first round leader James Madison, but came storming back to win by two over the Seminoles (852). The final 36-holes were condensed into one day in order to finish the tournament before the pending inclement weather forecasted for Sunday.
The Tigers were led by junior Matt Gilchrest (4-under), a 2015 All-SEC First Teamer, who tied for seventh. In all Auburn placed four players in the top-15.
Redshirt senior Jake Mondy (3-under) tied for 11th while it was redshirt senior Michael Johnson (2-under) and junior Will Long (2-under) tying for 13th.
Although Florida State was unable to defend their team tournament title senior Hank Lebioda (8-under) did capture his first career victory. The 2016 Ben Hogan Watch List performer posted a final round 4-under 68 to win by one.
Lebioda birdied his first hole of the day to set the stage for the rest of the round. In all the senior carded four birdies and an eagle on 10, a par-five.
East Tennessee State's senior Adrian Meronk (7-under) finished in solo second place.
First round leader James Madison (284) concluded play in third place four behind Auburn.
